Hurricane Matthew

As the mighty waves come crashing

Praying God will calm the seas,

Quiet the wind and the storm

Remove the dark clouds and debris.

Lord grant your mercy and grace

Give Your comfort, peace, and hope,

Hold all in Your loving arms

With faith and strength to cope.

As I woke up restless at 3 a.m. this morning, these are the words the Lord gave me. I knew He wanted me to pray for my friends and family on Hilton Head Island. With a heavy heart I did not know what was to come, but I do know our Heavenly Father is in control.

"The Lord's lovingkindness indeed never cease, His compassion never fails. They are new every morning.

Great is Thy faithfulness." Lamentations 3:22-23 (NASB)

I am so thankful my friends and family have reported they are safe. My friend sent me this picture of our home of 22 years. So grateful the damage was not worse and that God truly heard our prayers.
